The transition became effective on Monday, May 16th, 2022.
Lake County, OH —Attorney, author, advocate, and business owner Pamela Kurt is passing the baton to Cassidy M. Ruckel, who will become the new Executive Director of the Lake County Bar Association.
“I am so excited to see what she does during her tenure,” Kurt says. “I know she’s going to do fantastic things for both our legal community and our community at large.”
Kurt is pictured at left, when she was sworn in for her tenure as Executive Director last May.
“I am thrilled to be joining the Lake County Bar Association as the new Executive Director,” Ruckel said. “I cannot wait to see what great things are to come!”
The new executive director brings experience with Ohio State University to the table when she assumed the role. Ruckel, who is a graduate of Ohio State with her degree in Political Science, has specialties in Comparative Politics, along with minors in English and History.
“I’ve worked for Ohio State’s Willie J. Young, and the Senior Off-Campus and Commuter Student Engagement as a Community Ambassador in an effort to make our University District a cleaner, safer, and more equitable and inclusive place to live.”
Ruckel, during her tenure with Ohio State, also spent time interning with both the Lake and Geauga County courts.
The Lake County Bar Association, located in Painesville, Ohio, serves the Lake County courts and attorneys. The association holds monthly meetings to network and build professional relationships on the last Thursday of every month. Female attorneys also enjoy a separate networking meeting on the third Wednesday of every month.
